Overview

Only considering candidates up to 120 km radius  from our facility. This is a remote position but requires travel to the Ingersoll office and other locations for onsite meetings and for customer visits/tours. Outside Sales experience in flat rolled steel/coil form processing is required.

Monday-Friday standard office hours

$80,000-130,000 CAD based on experience. Plus bonuses and car allowance!

Responsibilities

Travel within sales territory to develop new prospects and interact with existing customers to increase sales. Monitors the company's industry competitors, new products, and market conditions to understand customer's specific needs.

 

Works under general supervision with a wide decision-making latitude. Typically reports to the Director of Sales, Manager of Sales or Divisional President. A certain degree of creativity is required. May, from time-to-time, be required to lead and train new sales representatives or assist less experienced sales representatives in closing important sales. Develops new sales leads and demonstrates to potential customers how Coilplus products can meet their needs. Overcomes obstacles and objections, ensuring continuous territorial growth. Effectively forecasts the book of business for both sales and inventory purchases. Conducts on-site sales presentations with significant potential and current customers with the goal of identifying new ways to use Coilplus products. Develops professional relationships with customers at multiple levels throughout their organizations and gains in-depth knowledge of their needs and how our products can satisfy them. Clarifies customer requirements while developing individual knowledge of products and processing capabilities. Grows existing customer business by introducing new products to existing and new customers. Maintains focus on those sales that provide the most gross profit for the company. Works with inventory/material management on specific customer needs. Educates customers by providing market-relevant information to assist them with their business decisions. Maintains quality service by adhering to policies, procedures, and standards. Contributes to the sales team’s effort by meeting or exceeding established sales, inventory management, and profit goals. Continues to develop sales skills and product knowledge through education and training as required. Maintain a clean work environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to develop relationships with mill sources, domestic and international

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Effective communication skills.

• Minimum 5 years of steel knowledge required

• ERP experience an asset

• Experienced selling flat rolled material is preferred

 

Experience & Education:

• Associate degree or equivalent with 3-5 years of experience of successful sales of flat roll material with at least 1 year in metal sales.
