Coordinates and prioritizes resolutions for QMS and customer-specific requirements as well as daily quality internal issues and supplier claims. Maintains calibrated test equipment, prepares GR&R reports, processes capability studies, and identifies areas for quality control improvement. This role has the authority to stop production or shipment on any non-conforming product.

Responsibilities

Ensures products and packaging comply with industry standards as well as agreed-upon customer requirements. Investigates daily quality issues on the shop floor (Warehouse and Processing). Perform line inspections to identify if non-conformance meets claim policy criteria. Dispositions rejected material through collaborative engagement with Sales and Operations. Issues Quality Alerts and Deviations. Receives rejected material from customers back into ERP system and initial NCR. Manages claims resolution with suppliers. Prepares rejected material/samples for shipment back to suppliers on claim. Ensures measuring and test equipment are calibrated and working correctly. Coordinates GR&R process, and data collection for process capability reports. Supports the creation of Metal Specification Standards and verification of purchased products. Executes and processes customer claims and issues claims to vendors, manages return material and recommends disposition criteria. Collects, analyzes and defines data needed to track progress and effect change to drive improvement. Requests and submits product samples from both customers and vendors to aid in problem solving and to support objective evidence of issues. Support the internal sharing and adopting of best practices identified, technology enhancements and 5S requirements. Maintains a clean work environment

Qualifications

• Advance organizational skills.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Ability to analyze and interpret technical information.

• Work authorization: United States (Required)

 

Experience & Education:

• High school diploma or GED.

• 1 -2 years of experience as an inspector or quality technician.

• Understanding of advanced mathematical concepts

• Experience with initiating quality claims and generating corrective action reports.

• Participation in team-based continuous improvement activity.
